With a great love of candles, a great love of scent, and an even greater stockpile of purchased candles that had disappointed us over the years, we decided to try making our own. Our first attempts were comical, but we were hooked, and Four Seasons Scents was born. Each and every candle is handpoured by us to insure it meets our standards of quality.
We have experimented and tested and rejected, and experimented and tested and rejected again, until we ended up with a product that surpassed even our expectations!
We are a family business. While I do most of the testing and pouring and selecting the scents, my husband is happy to jump in and help with busy seasons and large orders. He handles the marketing and paperwork, and shipping and deliveries. But the most valuable part of the business is our family, especially our six children, who provide invaluable feedback (yes, even the occasional "yuck, this stinks" is valuable!!) and encouragement, and help spread the word.

Our candles are made with all top quality ingredients. Our wax is a unique soy blend, with small amounts of paraffin and beeswax added to improve performance. This blend provides a clean, low-soot burn, a smooth, creamy appearance and excellent burn times. Our jar candles are designed to liquefy across their entire diameter, providing an outstanding melt pool and no tunneling or wasted wax.
We use zinc core for most candles, and occasionally hemp and paper core wicks. All scent and color combinations are tested and the proper wick chosen to provide the highest quality burn.
Our fragrance oils are 100% concentrated, and each candle is highly scented, with the maximum amount of fragrance oil the wax will hold. The scent is dispersed evenly throughout each candle... We guarantee the last inch of your candle will smell as wonderful as the first!
